Suicide Girls In The Afterlife

Suicide Girls in the Afterlife by Gina Ranalli certainly features a very bizarre version of the afterlife. A young woman named Pogue commits suicide, and goes to a hotel, because heaven and hell are being renovated. The afterlife isn't a particularly fair place, because it turns out that just about everyone counts as a suicide, other than the rich--who can afford the best healthcare, and to exercise and eat healthily.

Pogue joins up with a recently deceased junkie and decides to explore the hotel to find out why the afterlife sucks so bad. Along the way, she meets up with a lot of weird people, including Lucifer and Jesus.

There's a good bit of humor. The characters are interesting.  Really, I just enjoyed the heck out of this story. I feel obliged to point out, though, that that this story is very inexpensive in ebook form (99¢ as of this review), it is also contained in The Bizarro Starter Kit (Orange), which is a really great value and contains a lot of other cool stories.
